Unlike using a knife or fork for cake testing, the Cake Tester's narrow profile won't leave large holes behind that need to be filled or patched. It's longer than toothpicks to reach deeper into cakes for more accuracy than the toothpick test. Simply insert the metal stem into the cake's center. If it comes out clean, the cake is fully cooked.
