French Butter Dishes are a unique storage solution to hold room temp butter on your counter top using water to seal off the butter from exposure to air, keeping it longer. Made from two pieces, the larger cup sits on the counter and holds a small amount of water. The smaller piece holds your softened butter, which sits inverted in the larger cup.
